It is celebrated from the very next day after Holi and then onwards continues for eighteen long days.
This festival is unique as it is celebrated in different ways in different cities. In Bikaner, women both married as well as maiden observe a fast and wide variety of sweets. In the state capital Jaipur, 'ghewar' the well known sweet dish of Rajasthan is made especially during the time of this festival. People also some to distribute it among their close relations.

Chambal Adventure Sport Festival in KotaKota celebrates the Chambal Adventure sport festival every year.
This event is organized annually during February. Many professional
sports person from the civilian background as well as from the army participate in this event. This sports festival includes activities such as rafting, water skiing, parasailing, kayaking and wind surfing. Breathtaking performance by the participants leaves the spectators awestruck. The venue for this wonderful event is the river Chambal. Next to which the Kota is located.
